Having completed my first month’s supply of this collagen-supporting supplement, it is too soon to say honestly whether I’ve seen the full benefits, although I believe there is already some improvement to my skin’s hydration levels – potentially due to the hyaluronic acid contained in Feel’s Beauty Gummies. However, they are clear and honest in saying that optimum results will take time – up to 3 months – and will depend on a variety of different factors including age, diet, and general health.

But these palatable gummies do contain a range of ingredients that are widely researched (including a concentrated anti-oxidant mango powder), all of which are believed to positively support the health of your hair, skin and nails. And I love the fact too that they are vegan, cruelty-free and come in plastic-free packaging. So, maybe I need to defer my vision of an immediate wrinkle-free existence topped by lustrous locks of thick, glossy hair just for the moment and appreciate the journey…patience, as they say, is a virtue.

About Feel

Operating in the health and wellness sector, Feel’s stated aim is to provide its customers with effective health and beauty products, formulated using clean, evidence-based ingredients. All their products are vegan, cruelty-free and are suitable for customers with halal, kosher, and gluten-free dietary requirements. And at the time of publishing this Feel Beauty Gummies review, the brand has an ‘excellent’ rating on Trustpilot.

They have a wide range of other supplements too and you can check some of them out in my other Feel reviews including my Feel multivitamin review and Feel pineapple pro collagen review. The positives

This vegan food and beauty supplement comes in completely plastic-free packaging, is formulated to support collagen production in the body, and being in gummy form, it’s also very palatable and easy to use. Let’s now take each of those pros in turn to find out more detail:

Close up photo of a cylindrical cardboard container with no lid, and swirling patterns of very pale blue, sky blue, and lilac on the container. On the front of the container is the brand name 'Feel' in black text, and underneath the words 'hair, skin, nails' indicating the purpose of the contents - 60 beauty gummies, a food supplement. The container is in the foreground on a green moss covered red brick against an out of focus background of brown bark chippings. Eco-friendly packaging

These gummies come in a cardboard container, about the size of a standard tin of beans, which should be fully recyclable in most standard home collection facilities. There looks to be a small amount of aluminium used for the freshness seal as well which passes the ‘scrunch test’, suggesting that it’s fully recyclable too. There is a useful video on YouTube called (imaginatively) The Scrunch Test which tells you how to identify recyclable aluminium, although the title probably gives you the gist of what you need to know!

The delivery packaging is also cardboard, so all-in-all, I’m happy to report that it seems pretty eco-friendly.

Supports collagen production

This supplement does not contain actual collagen, so not a dead animal bone in sight thankfully. However, it aims to support your body’s own production of this important protein which in my humble opinion is by far the best way to boost your collagen levels. It is widely researched and recognised that ingredients like vitamin C, biotin (B7), selenium, and hyaluronic acid can all make a positive contribution to the health of your skin, hair and nails and these are all present in Feel’s Beauty Gummies. And to offer that extra boost they have added something called Careflow™ Mango Powder, a patented ingredient with anti-oxidant properties which they state improves the circulation in your blood vessels, thus delivering all the good stuff around your body more effectively.

However, if you’re looking for a vegan supplement that is focused more intensely on collagen production, read my Feel pro collagen gels review for more detail.

The container is in the foreground on a shiny white surface and some of the gummies have tipped out of it onto the surface. The gummies are a reddish brown and look a bit like small fruit pastilles. In the top right of the picture are a few fronds of a fern hanging down. This image is to illustrate the gummy formulation of this supplement.

Gummy formula

As the name of the product might suggest, this vegan, sugar-free beauty supplement comes in gummy form! And being vegan, they are of-course gelatin-free too. To be honest, I’m not always a big ‘gummy’ fan because it feels a bit like eating sweets and I find it difficult to stop at 2 – not sure what that says about my addictive personality! That said, I do stop because it could clearly be detrimental to your health to take more than the recommended dose, but it’s just that it makes me think of sweets.

However, it seems like I’m alone on this one because the verdict from almost everyone else is that gummies are the way to go, hence it sits under the positives. And it’s not that I dislike them. Feel Beauty Gummies are a bit like chewy fruit pastilles, and are very tasty without being overly sweet – a sort of forest fruits flavour – so what’s not to like?!

Of course, the other good thing about gummies is that they’re chewable, so they don’t get stuck in my throat like capsules can. And it also means there are no cheap fillers and powders like those that taint some of the cheaper capsule supplements.

The negatives

Aside from price – something that I think most of us consumers will have a grumble about – my only other notable negative with Feel’s Beauty Gummies is that they contain sweeteners; but that does mean that they are sugar-free, so you can’t have it all ways! And what doesn’t contain sweeteners nowadays, I hear you say? And it may be true that most consumer products that once would have used sugar will now contain sweeteners instead, but I’m still going to moan about it. So, here goes…

Close up photo of a cylindrical cardboard container with a lilac coloured lid, and swirling patterns of very pale blue, sky blue, and lilac on the container. This is the back of the container of Feel Beauty Gummies food supplement, where there is a table printed that shows the nutritional information and the ingredients of the product. The container is in the foreground lying on a dull brown brick floor. This image is to illustrate the ingredients of the gummies.

Contains sweeteners

This supplement contains maltitol syrup, an alternative to sugar. Don’t get me wrong; this sweetener is considered to be perfectly safe by all the respective UK, European and US government food agencies, so Feel aren’t doing anything wrong in using it. It’s just that I have a bit of a personal thing about sweeteners because they can have an adverse effect on my gut. However, that’s not the case for everyone and in the scheme of things, these gummies contain only small amounts. So, providing I’m not bingeing on loads of other sweetener-based products at the same time (and I don’t), it’s normally OK.

If you’re diabetic though, you do need to be careful about your sweetener intake and should consider taking professional medical advice if you want to take these, or any other supplements. The same goes for those with other medical conditions, and for pregnant people too.

Conclusion of this Feel Beauty Gummies review

I have enjoyed taking this beauty supplement: it’s easy to use with no powders to measure out, and no capsules to gag on; they taste nice; and I like the effort that has gone into the packaging (which all seems easily recyclable).

The other thing about these gummies is that they’re not overloaded with superfluous ingredients. Some supplements contain long lists of ingredients that seem irrelevant to its stated purpose, whereas these look (to my untrained eye) targeted and appropriate. And that’s important to me because with a well-rounded, healthy vegan diet, I don’t want to add unnecessary vitamins and minerals.

I mentioned that they taste nice, and they do – surprisingly so for something that has sweeteners in. I can detect the taste, but the gummy isn’t overly sweet and there’s a bit of sharpness which I like. And because I tend to avoid other products with sweeteners in, the small amount in these means that I’ve not suffered any of the ill-effects on my gut that can plague me – primarily pain and bloating.

So, having taken the gummies for a month, I’ve begun to experience better skin hydration levels and a reduction in the pore size on my nose (always a bonus) and this could be as a result of the hyaluronic acid, although it’s not possible to state that with certainty. However, I refrain from using similar products when I’m reviewing something, so I can say for sure that it’s not as a result of any other intervention. I’ve not had any other noticeable changes as yet – my nails tend to be pretty strong anyway – but I’m quietly confident because more hydrated skin tends to gradually make facial lines less obvious. Things can just take a little bit longer the older you get! Patience, patience…
